Macy and Bailey

Gabe's Dad and Step-Mom have a dog named Bailey. She is like a child to them and Macy met her for the first time a week ago when Ellie was in Utah visiting her sister and Gabe was at work. I am so annoyed I didn't have my camera or flip cam to get the moment Macy met Bailey. It was the cutest thing ever! Bailey was on her best behavior and so interested in Macy she couldn't stand herself. I put Macy on her belly on the floor so Gary could see her roll over... Macy rolled over, then Bailey rolled over!!!! Ever time Bailey would come close enough for Macy to reach out and touch her, Macy would reach her hands out and laugh! Out-loud! The cutest thing.

Ellie was so bummed to miss it...so, we had to re-enact the whole event! Not quite as cute, but pretty darn close. :)
I got a darling video I'm going to try and upload, if I can't get it on here, check facebook!

Dinner with Grandpa and Ta-ta!

Tonight we went to Chinese with Gary and Ellie (Gabe's Dad and Step-Mom). It was delicious! Macy was pretty good, and stayed awake the whole time! She is sleeping now, though, all the kicking and smiling tired her out!

I am so annoyed I didn't get a full body shot of Macy's outfit. It's from Ellie and I LOVE IT! The leggings are so darling, I have to get a picture of her wearing them!
Gabe is on his week off (which he worked overtime the first two days of) and yesterday and today babysat Macy while I did little get-aways or "me-times" as my friend calls them. Yesterday was a massage, today a pedicure! Both were lovely and it was good for me to get away and equally as good for Macy and her Daddy to have alone time together. He leaves for a mini guy trip tomorrow to Portland so Macy and I will be alone for the next couple days. I am all rested and relaxed and ready to get back to pampered-free life! Ha!

It's been super nice having Gabe around to talk to, help out around the house, beat at Yahtzee, watch Macy...just family stuff that we haven't been able to enjoy in months. I love that man! Funny how being a shift-worker's wife means learning how to adjust from complete independence to partial dependence every week. We are getting better at it, it's been almost 4 years!
How adorable is this hat my Mom brought by today??? Her super sweet and baby loving co-worker Mary Anne made it for Macy!!! I just love it, so cute and it fits perfect! Thank you Mary Anne!

Daddy and Macy reading together...

Random Molly Fact: I collect Children's Literature. I love Children's Books and get a kick out of reading to and with kids. It's something that I really love, it fills me up, I am always game to read to a child. Tonight, I got a special treat watching my husband read to my daughter. I think that might be even better than reading myself. I got a video of Gabe reading Macy The 3 Billy Goats Gruff and posted it on facebook- check it out, it's so funny watching Macy "read along."
This book is a classic. For any of you who have 3 or 4 year olds or older, especially boys, you have to read it!

It makes my heart sing to be with my family. It is precious when Gabe is here with us and he's been trying to make the most out of his days off. We love having him home!

One more thing.

Question: What 4 month old do you know that owns 11 pairs of shoes?
Answer: Macy Megan of course!

Macy's Room updated!

My favorite room in our house is Macy's nursery. It is darling, and so, so special because of all the people that helped get it so cute. (KAREN HOLT!) I've been collecting all these really sweet things, and haven't had the space to display them until I found this little shelf idea from my friend Holly, who has a white one in her daughter's room. It's perfect! A drawer for odds and ends, toys, and books!... The other shelves can be decorative for now, and eventually the whole thing can be a toy "box."

So I get this thing yesterday thinking, how hard can it be to put together?

I always forget that technology, building, visualizing, ... Those things are my kryptonite. I am good at a lot of stuff, but putting together random furniture of any kind is out of my realm of possibility.

Thank goodness my Dad is awesome and can figure anything out! (He's actually a lot like me in the visual learner department, but he's learned to bypass the Chinese instructions and just follow the picture on the box). Gabe has been working non-stop and after 15+ days straight of 4 am- 7 pm days, the last thing he wants to tackle in his one-hour-at-home-awake-time is a project of any kind! Gotta love that my Dad "gets" this and helps me in any way I need, anytime.
Two notes. My sister has already told me to change out the "creepy" baby pictures that aren't Macy on the frame... I'll do that pronto, Kates, I promise! Also, the $5.00... Gabe and my Dad have a standing joke ever since Dad gave Macy her purse with a dollar in it. Every time we come home from my parents and Gabe talks to my Dad, he'll ask why he didn't give Macy a dollar...? Earlier this week Dad pinned a dollar bill onto Macy and Gabe thought it was the funniest thing. He called and said the jokes over, he's embarrassed, Dad doesn't need to give our child money. So, of course, Dad left a 5 dollar bill today. :)

*Tanya, do you see the basket that I LOVE that I've been waiting to display? So cute!

Macy's Jumperoo

So excited that my friend Kara has loaned us her Jumperoo! It's the small things in life that make me happy. :) Macy loves this thing. She can touch the floor and every little move she makes it wiggles and she thinks she is hot stuff, riding... So cute to see her start to "get" things. Thank you Kara!!!! (And Peyton and Brooks for growing out of it!)

Grandiflora is Grand!

Katie and I went to Grandiflora the other day and I got two new things for my house. Above is a magnetic board and then below is a frame I really liked. Love that store!
