Macy's new buddy...

My friend Kara gave me these hilarious bug puppets for a baby shower and Macy LOVES them!!! They were at Costco along with some other animals and I should have bought them all! She holds onto this grasshopper especially and was watching me make dinner last night just like this for about 15 min straight! Grasshopper and fingers=a happy, patient Macy!

She looks worried, here, huh? She ate her dinner about 5 mins after I took this! Love that she is so content with her buddy... :)

Katie's Home!

Hooray! Auntie Kate came home last night from Prague and London with presents for all of us. :) Macy got an adorable dress and this sun hat from H&M the coolest store ever, which Katie just discovered (dangerously) has a baby section! Ha! Kates was only gone a week or two but we missed her terribly.
A new Mommy and Macy pic :) Life doesn't get any sweeter...
After church today Mom hosted a late birthday celebration for my Aunt Sharon. It was a delicious lunch and wonderful fellowship. Thanks Mom!

Saturday Dress-Up Day

Love the toes pointing in... She loves her toes right now!

The Molly Dress

I feel like the last few days we have been running ragged! Macy has a little cold, or allergies, or something that is making her have a runny nose, so I've been stressing about that, along with regular life. Today she seems a little better, still runny nose and not quite her usual self but better. We are staying home all day today! I'm still in my PJ's but Macy has been in 5 outfits so far. Yep, today was the day we played dress-up with all my old baby clothes Mom gave me. The ones she kept are just precious! This pic above is my "Molly Dress" from Money Maberry who also had a daughter named Molly! It is so cute! Probably almost 50 years old, can you imagine? Here I am below at 6 months... Any resemblance at all?

Baby Books

I am determined to complete Macy's baby book, every page, every question! It seems like a full-time job to keep up on this goal. Every time I turn around she is one month older and I need to update the book!

Today I was working on it, made huge progress, and came to the page that asked for a letter from Mommy. I started to write one and then couldn't swallow I had such a lump in my throat from all the overwhelming love that was pouring out of my heart! Words can't express how much I love our baby girl and my hopes and prayers for her life.

A good friend from church, Bev McKissick died yesterday leaving her husband and 4 children behind. Her kids are grown-ups now, but it made me think of what she would wish/pray/hope for them and her grandchildren and I know it's that above and beyond all else, they find, know and love & adore our Lord and Savior no matter what. This is something I pray for Macy as well.

Heather's in town!

My best friend Heather is in town this weekend for her birthday. We had such a great day celebrating a day early! I took her downtown Fairhaven to a super fun place called "Creativitea" to paint pottery. Somehow, I was having too good a time to remember to take pictures. I'll have to get the final product when I pick them up next week. SO fun. It was like therapy. We both did bread/cracker-cheese plates and I used lace for a pattern, Heather stenciled an iris.

Then we smuggled lunch into a theater and I saw a movie for the first time in over 6 months! So fun!

Mom had Macy this whole time, which was lovely, and we picked her up and headed to Heather's parent's house for dinner. Steve had made a delicious dinner (steak, baked potatoes, green salad and a cake!) This always impresses me when men cook :) Macy, being the angel she is, had a nice nap right on the floor during dinner. Steve made this cake, people, and even picked out the flowers! Vicki is in CA taking care of her Mom and we missed her terribly. Thanks again, Steve for the wonderful meal, and Heather for being my friend and making it such a special day!!!
