Pictures from Macy's Dedication

Here we all are at Macy's dedication on Sunday...
My Aunt Sharon and Uncle Craig came, and brought Luke who is staying with them for a couple weeks. When Heidi was on the phone with Luke asking about what he did that day, he said, "Mommy, Mommy! I went to church and saw Macy get MEDICATED!" Heidi laughed so hard. Four years old is so funny!

Our day

Man, Macy and I have been having the BEST day today! It was a pretty busy weekend, and I needed to get cracking on the paperwork to start moving forward on getting my Master's Degree so today was a day to plan nothing! Macy and I both stayed in our jammies and we are both pretty happy about that! :)
I think I have the happiest baby around. She smiles at anyone, is content to play alone, with a toy, or with someone, whatever works. She is eating cereal like a champ, is sleeping 8:30PM-6:30AM, some mornings till 7!!!! She is so wonderful. She lights up Gabe and my world and we adore her! She will be 6 months old on the 29th, which is coming up quick!
I think she is even growing some hair fuzz... what do you think?

Earthquake

Gabe has been playing a new game with Macy called, "Earthquake" and she smiles every time he does it! They have lots of special things they do together, but here's a sneak peak at one of them!

Every time I see a video of Macy I determine to take more of them! Time is going by so fast, I need to capture more moments...

Macy's Dedication

My Dad dedicated Macy at church today. It was incredibly special and memorable. At our church, dedicating your baby is optional. It is agreeing to partner with the congregation to raise Macy up in the way she should go. We hope she loves the Lord and follows after Him with her whole heart. Our church congregation agrees to help us with that huge job and support us along the way. What a gift!

Dad gave Macy Proverbs 3:5-6 for her life verse.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

He also wrote her a letter that she can't open until her 18th birthday, which was incredibly meaningful.

Then Dad held Macy and prayed for her, and us, and the church came and laid hands on us and prayed for us. That of course, made me cry. (I'm kind of sensitive these days with anything having to do with our daughter!) We are so blessed to have the family we have, (both sides!) and belong to the church we go to. It is a safe, joyful and Christ-centered place that Macy will be blessed to attend throughout her life!

Luke's in town!

This was a very fun day! A friend came over in the morning to pick-up some maternity clothes which was great...she is due one day after Macy was born and it helps so much to have some options when you are just feeling...thick.

We had a super fun graduation party to go to for my cousin's son, Jessie Salmonson. I can't believe Jessie is graduated!!! I remember when he was born! So irritating that my camera was in the car for the party. Jessie even held Macy for the first time. Someone did get a picture, but I don't have it to share today.

After the grad party, we headed to Hi Hoe Nursery for a little visit with Luke! Macy LOVES Luke. She always smiles for him, and he is very good with her. He is kind-of a baby pro, what with being the big brother to triplet sisters and all!
My little buddy :)
Macy seems to always smile if you make a kissing noise and have her attention. Luke caught right on and she loved it!
SUCH a happy girl!
This is for you, Heidi! Loved that Luke wanted to show us he still has it...

Such a wonderful boy. He is so polite and sweet and fun. I hope Macy is just like him!

My Wedding Dress

I LOVE my wedding dress. When Mom and I went shopping for it, she made me promise I would try on more than one dress before I decided... I saw my dress immediately on the hanger and loved it there, but tried on 5 or 6 beautiful dresses first. When I tried it on, I knew it was the ONE! Mom (and Dad) bought it for me. My Mom knew that dress was my wedding dress. It is over the top extravagant, made me feel beautiful and it was one of a kind.

Gabe and I have been married almost 4 years now and I hadn't got my dress preserved. It was on an on-going list of things I would eventually like to get done, buy, or do. (Do any of you have lists like that?) A couple months ago, I did it! You don't even want to know what it costs to get a wedding dress preserved, but I feel so much better knowing my dress is safe and sound and will be for my lifetime. If Macy ever wants to see it or try it on, this place will re-preserve it at no cost for the duration of my life.
It comes with gloves to put on before you touch the dress and a viewing window so I can remember how perfect it is. Aww. The happiness that comes with being a grown-up. :)

Now for the rest of my list...
-Area rug for living room
-Bar stools
-Patio furniture
-Curtains for whole house
