A new favorite outfit...

Here is one of the outfits Heather bought for Macy. It is so cute! She looks like a little female hunter or something! The boots, the hat, the vest...I love it!
She was acting sooo big standing on the couch!
Every time I put a hat or bow on Macy now, she tries to yank it off.
Thank you "Auntie Heather!!!"

A day of coffee...

Today was full of friends coming over to visit. I love days like this, where I don't have to pack anything, and still get to see friends! Sjana, Kara, and Jamie came over with all their kiddos, and Sue, Sjana's mom which was great! We had: Hunter, McKenna, Karis MacSwan, Peyton and Brooks Munger, Mason McConkey and Macy! 7 kids! Talk about outnumbered! It was very fun to see these girls and we should have had Sue take an updated pic of the four of us... but, understandably we were kinda too busy to grab a camera. :)

Later today, Lynn came over with her Foster Daughter Renny and I couldn't believe the difference between a friend with 1 kiddo compared to 3 friends and 6 kiddos! Ha! We actually had a conversation! It was great to see Lynn and Renny and for the girls to have some playtime.

Renny "read" Macy a story...
Macy listened carefully...
Daddy's little monkey and her friend Lynn!
Lynn, Renny and Macy! What fun girls!

Sunday fun

I told you I was going to make Macy wear that hat everyday now!!! Ha! After church, we hung out at Mom and Dad's and had lunch together. Macy was in a great mood and we had to snap a couple pictures of her new outfit. :) Auntie Kate and Macy...

Mommy and Macy!
When Mom saw this outfit in church she said, "She looks like Carmen Diaz!" Meaning Cameron Diaz. I laughed so hard because my Mom is so NOT into pop culture/Hollywood. When my brother visited me in CA years ago, we bleached his teeth at the dental office I worked at and when I talked to Mom weeks later she goes, "Molly! He looks like Britney Spears!" We still crack up about that one! Macy did look pretty trendy though, with her hat and booties.

Then, to add to the fun, Mom went digging in her closet and found...

Hair clips! Like Macy has enough hair for this. My mom is so funny!!! Katie and I were yelling, "Don't dent her head!" We know from experience that beauty=pain sometimes.

I think Macy liked getting all dolled up, though. Oh yes, this outfit says, "Daddy's little monkey" again, from Heather. Love it!

Heather is in town, make way in the closet!

My friend Heather is in town while her husband is on a fishing trip in Alaska and she came bearing many gifts. Gymboree is pretty much baby gear heaven and every time any of us enters that store...watch out! I had just bought Macy some of the new owl stuff in there (a shirt saying Whooo's the cutest?) and Heather, not even knowing, had bought the VEST...
HAT
And shoes, which I'm saving for 9 month pictures in the pumpkin patch. Or leave pile. Or by a tree. . . So many options!!!!! She loved the zipper on this vest the most.
This hat may be the cutest thing in her wardrobe right now. Get ready to see it on with everything!!!

Macy's first babysitter!

Macy has had her first "official" babysitter(s)!!! I had to clean a house and Mom was out of town, Katie was drowning in work, Sharon had the nursery, Gabe was coming off night shift. So... I called Anna Pimento, Babysitter Extradonaire!!! Anna loves little kids, is VERY responsible and has wanted to babysit Macy from day 1. She was the perfect choice and as a bonus, I got Sarah and KK too. (Above from left, Sarah, KK, Anna)
When we got there, we saw this huge pink cushy blanket and buckets of toys, and every stuffed animal in the house lined up. Macy LOVED IT! I will be calling Anna again very soon, it was sooo much fun to get away and know Macy was in such safe and capable hands. :)

Just to stay accountable, I will record my weekly weight loss on this blog...

Drumroll. . .

5 lbs the first week! Hooray!

Thursday Lunch Out

It's been another busy week. Good thing I blog every once in awhile or I wouldn't know what I've done from day to day. How do Moms that have jobs outside the house manage??? I would go crazy! I don't make money for my work, (meaning I work my rear off taking care of Macy every day and night but don't get paid for it!!!) but have been doing odd jobs lately for people.

Tuesday Katie took Macy all morning while I did errands and shopped. It was such a great day, I had plenty of time so I didn't feel like I had to rush and found some really cute fall clothes both for me and Macy (I know, like she needs clothes, but really- we could use long sleeves so I ran with that). She had a two hour nap while Kates watched her! Thank you Auntie Kate!

Yesterday at about noon I got a call from a friend with some rental properties who needed help cleaning one of them since new renters were moving in, and they were running out of time to get it all done. I booked Mom to come get Macy after work, and was off. I cleaned until 9 PM last night, went to get Macy and shovel in some food and was in bed by 11 PM. Tomorrow I'm cleaning for another friend and have broke down and booked a REAL babysitter. I got a little thrill at the thought of Macy actually getting to have a paid babysitter watch her and play with her. Anna Pimento is her name, and she adores our daughter and is very responsible. I am so happy to have someone on the "docket" so when Mom and Kates have other plans, I still have coverage. It's kind of fun that we're actually at this point and Macy is going to have such a good time at the Pimentos. I have to write it in her baby book! Ha! 8 months old, first time being watched by someone other than Mommy, Daddy, Mimi, Auntie or Aunt Sharon!
Sharon, Mom, Katie and I took Macy to lunch today at Homestead. If you haven't been there for awhile, it is a GREAT spot for lunch! Beautiful view, wonderful food and very quiet and fun. Macy was a trooper and hung on for our 2 1/2 hour lunch and just played and watched and felt like a big girl! :) So sweet. Also, her first official time in a high chair at a restaurant!
I like to think (hope) these things get wiped down after every use. It was so cute in the moment and so gross to think about now!!! HA!

Macy was so good! I've lost track of how many places we've taken her out to. I remember being pregnant thinking, "I'll never be able to go out to eat again" and how wrong I was! She loves it too. So much to see and play with. Macy is a natural high society gal!
