Macy's clothes...

My daughter has quite a large closet. Besides the baskets of shoes she still can't fit into, she has enough clothes to almost wear something new every day of her short life! (Having triplet girl cousins and being the first grand baby on both sides and having LOTS of friends is probably why) This outfit is from Kelly Isfeld (a friend from church) and I LOVE it! Macy reminds me of a circus performer when she wears it. Mom tucked the shirt into the shorts at church which made it look even funnier! It was like Macy knew everyone was looking at her and she was soaking it up!
Gabe's Uncle Larry and Aunt Robyn have a beautiful house close to the Lummi Reservation in Ferndale. Gabe and Macy are sitting on their patio. It is literally the most perfect backyard in the county!!! I love it there, and this was Macy's first visit.

I'm standing on their deck taking this picture. Sooo gorgeous. We had the most delicious dinner! Salmon, potatoes, salad, bread and oreo cookie ice cream dessert. Yum! What a fun night!

2010 Raspberry Festival!

Gabe and I took Macy to the Lynden's Raspberry Festival and walked around enjoying the sunshine last weekend. It was really fun to be OUT as a family with Gabe on one of his very few and far between days off! I saw this sign and thought it was so funny! I said to Gabe, "Isn't that an oxymoron? Lynden Democrats? Are there such a thing?" We had a big laugh and I had to get the sign.

Macy's eating lots of food!

I haven't blogged in well over 2 weeks and there is no good reason. Lately, I've just been enjoying Macy, reading in my free time and finishing my Master's application for Grad School! We have been very busy, although I've snapped a few pictures and hopefully will catch up on life today!
Macy is loving food. It took her until about 5 months to really get the hang of rice cereal and baby oatmeal, but now she loves it! We've tried prunes (hated them), peaches, green beans, peas, squash, sweet potato, banana, applesauce... Probably more if I think about it. So far, she likes everything except prunes. She eats the best for Gabe (gets the least distracted I think since she stares at him dreamy every time he comes into a room), but does great for me, mom and Katie too.
I'm not big on baby pictures with food all over their face but she is so darn cute when she eats I had to get a couple pictures!

New, fun things!

Macy is finally in her Johnny Jump-Up. She loves it and we keep this one at Mom's house since jumping is her favorite thing to do. Scratch that... Jumping ON or in front of Brodie (the dog) is her favorite thing! We joke that Brodie babysits Macy. Ha!
Macy gets an absolute kick out of jumping for Brodie. The dog ignores her half the time, and the other half the time licks her feet or legs and Macy screams with joy. So cute!

An update on Rufus

After some solitary (or dualary?) confinement in our garage with Shrute (our other cat), Gabe let Rufus out into the wild this week for the first time. I got up yesterday and saw this out the downstairs window.
Shrute is like a big brother to Rufus and it's so cute to watch them play together! I'm glad they have each other.
...problem. Sounds like Rufus may actually be a girl. Oop. Maybe we'll have to shorten it to Roofy? :)

A baby and a puppy. Is there anything cuter?

Dad found this Black Lab puppy at the Laurel Feed Store and I wanted to see him too! Katie came with and we brought Macy so she could meet a puppy for the first time!
LOVE this baby's excitement for life! She was THRILLED to meet this darling little puppy and squealed and giggled and smiled the whole time! People kept stopping to watch Macy and the dog saying there really is nothing cuter than that. I agree.

She was pretty good with him. Of course she wanted to touch his nose and then he would lick her and kind of nip her fingers and she would frown at him. Then, just start smiling again and pet him somewhere else. :)

She wouldn't take her eyes off him! If you're interested, $300.00! :) (The puppy, not my baby)
Macy saying, "Bye bye puppy, nice to meet you!"
